The Lahore High Court on Tuesday sought reply from the Punjab government and Director Lahore Zoo within 10 days against non-availability of an elephant at Lahore Zoo for the last two years.
The court passed these directions in a petition of a citizen Fawad Mughal. The petitioner contended that the female elephant, Suzi, had died two years ago and the zoo administration had failed to bring a new elephant so far. He said the elephant was a major attraction for people, especially children.
