KP governor confers civil awards in Peshawar

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman on behalf of the President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi, on eve of Pakistan Day conferred four civil awards at ceremony here at Governor's House. One personality of the province Cricketer Yasir Shah got Sitara-I-Imtiaz in acknowledgement of his extra-ordinary services in the field of sports.
While three personalities of the province, Professor Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad in the field of education, Khwaja Safar Ali in the field of metal work and Akhtar Gul, Deputy Director in the field of Public Services was conferred with Tamgha-I-Imtiaz in recognition of the illustrious achievements in their respective disciplines at the Investiture ceremony held on Thursday.
Besides, members of the provincial cabinet, Parliamentarians from the Province including merged tribal districts, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Saleem Khan, Secretary Administration Imtiaz Ayub Secretary Information & PRs Mukhtiar Ahmad, Secretary Housing Masood Ahmad, Secretary Public Health Engineering Behramand Khan, other administrative secretaries, senior civil and military officials, relatives and well-wisher of the recipients of the national award attended the ceremony.
On the occasion, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman congratulated the recipients of the National Awards and also paid tributes to the martyrs of the Pakistan movement.
