All set for 2nd phase of anti-encroachment drive in CHK

The CHK management has instructed the all unauthorized encroachers to vacate hospital residential quarters and remove illegal constructions and walls around quarters within 24 hours voluntarily; otherwise, anti-encroachment team of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Assistant Commoner, law enforcement agencies and hospital staff will demolish the all encroachments.

Medical Superintendent, CHK, Dr Sabir Memon, while talking to PPI, said all unauthorized occupants have already been directed to remove encroachments from the premises of health facility within 24 hours.

He said unauthorized occupants had been using electricity, water, gas and other facilities since several years.

He informed that administration has served notices to these unauthorized occupants and others several occasions but they have refused vacate quarters or remove encroachments. He said anti-encroachment drive have been launched on the compliance of Sindh health department orders.

He said AMS security CHK and his team have finalized the arrangements to launch crackdown against such elements.

Earlier, unauthorized occupants had vacated 13 quarters of Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) in November 2018, to avoid crackdown, following strict warning of hospital administration.
