Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would lodge a first information report (FIR) in Rawalpindi against Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed for hurling death threats at Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. "Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid hurled death threats at Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, hence action should be taken against the accused," PPP leader Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari and Chaudhry Manzoor said in a joint news conference here on Tuesday.
They said that the PPP workers from the Rawalpindi division and other parts of the country would come to the federal capital to express solidarity with party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal who will appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the fake accounts case today (Wednesday).
They said that in the past, the fake cases were registered against their leadership and now that exercise is being repeated again. According to sources, the PPP leaders would go to Rawalpindi today (Wednesday) to lodge an FIR against Sheikh Rashid for hurling death threats at the party's chairman.
Bukhari said that first party's founder was killed then his daughter Benazir Bhutto was martyred in terrorist attack and same thing is again under discussion. Answering a question, he said that the PPP would not comprise on the 18th Constitution Amendment. They claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government wants to roll back the 8th Constitutional Amendment, adding that they will resist this action.
