SU vice chancellor urges archaeologists to help preserve Sindh heritage sites

Inspired by the extraordinary importance of the greater Indus Valley civilization including the world famous cultural properties such as Mohen-jo-daro and Makli, the idea of establishing a research centre i.e. Centre for Indus Valley Integrated Studies (CIVIS) at Sindh University has been conceived to work on an interdisciplinary scientific program to answer necessary questions for the better understanding of the complexity of the greater Indus Valley.
These views were advanced by VC-SU Prof Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat while talking as a keynote speaker at 3-day International Start-up Workshop on "Ports and Trans-Ports: Evolution and Revolution(s) in the Indian Ocean World" jointly organized by German University of Technology and University of Sindh, Jamshoro at GU tech, History of Science Centre Muscat, Oman; where he has been invited by Research Centre Indian Ocean, German University of Technology and Int'l Council on Monuments and Sites, Muscat, Oman.
