ANP terms Indian provocation a threat to peace

ANP president Asfandyar Wali Khan has termed so called surgical strikes and provocative narrative dangerous for peace in the region.
In a statement issued here from Bacha Khan Markaz, Asfandyar clarified in unequivocal terms that they want peace in the world and particularly in favour of the establishment of durable peace in our country.
He said ANP on the basis of its ideology is not in favour of war and its leadership from Bacha Khan to Wali Khan and even today they had always made all-out efforts for peace at all available platforms.
The ANP chief said they are followers of the non-violent philosophy of Bacha Khan and if such situation arises, ANP will also work for its prevention and ask
all parties for maintaining peace.
He said surgical strikes and provocative statements have endangered peace that will generate more problems. Therefore, he said sensing the gravity of situation, negotiations should be held in any circumstances.
Asfandyar Wali Khan said parliament is supreme and it should play its due role in the present critical situation. He was of the opinion that negotiations are held after destruction, there is nothing wrong in holding talks before that destruction.
