The Supreme Court (SC) clarified on Saturday that the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP)Asif Saeed Khan Khosa is not using any social networking websites. This clarification by the SC comes in light after a fake Twitter account in the name of the CJP surfaced earlier.

The apex court has dismissed the account on Twitter saying that the chief justice is not using  social networking websites including Twitter or Facebook, local media reported.

Furthermore, the top court has also directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to block any accounts in the name of the chief justice. It has also asked FIA and PTA to take legal action against those responsible for creating the accounts.

On Friday, Justice Khosa took oath as the 26th chief justice of Pakistan. He has replaced Judge Saqib Nisar who retired on January 17. The 26th chief justice will retire this year in December.
