Leisure Leagues to participate in HNPW in Geneva

21 Feb, 2019

Leisure Leagues Pakistan (LLP), the small-sided football organizers, was amongst experts from diverse organizations and countries to identify solutions to common humanitarian challenges as part of the Private Sector Partnerships program at the Humanitarian Networking and Partnerships Week (HNPW) in Geneva.
The aim of the event was to bring together humanitarian clusters, the private sector and other partners and to take stock of evolving partnership approaches as well as share good practices and lessons learned on how partnership collaboration should evolve in the future.
HNPW is held every February at the International Conference Centre in Geneva, Switzerland and hosted by the Swiss Government and organized by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), with the collaboration of the United Kingdom's Department for International Development (DFID). The event consolidates itself as one of the key conferences for humanitarian operational partners in Geneva.
LLP's Global Director of Partnerships and Social Impact Zubair Anwar Bawany, one of the experts at the Geneva event, says LLP has been working on both through its activist leagues.
The weeklong sessions, earlier this month, created a dynamic exchange among panelists from the public and private sector and actively engaged with more than 120 participants in the room.
Commenting on Leisure Leagues presence in Geneva, LLP COO Ishaq Shah said LLP and the World Group are fully supportive of the work on the UN and humanitarian agencies.
