The opposition leaders are not on as good terms with Saudi Arabia as they claim to have, said Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Friday, two days ahead of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman's visit to Pakistan.
While addressing the media persons, the federal minister said that the entire nation is eagerly waiting to give a warm welcome to the Saudi Crown Prince. "Only from Saudi Arabia, so much investment has come which did not come even in 10 years," said the minister.
Fawad Chaudhry said that Supreme Coordination Council will be formed that will be led by the Crown Prince along with Prime Minister Imran Khan. "MoUs worth billions of dollars will be carried out between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia," said Fawad Chaudhry.
He further said that twin cities, Islamabad and Rawalpindi, will not be shut down but security will be strengthened. He said 'Red Zone' will be closed only due to security protocols.
The purpose of the Crown Prince's two-day visit is to wrap up a series of multibillion dollars deals with Pakistan in various sectors. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan and his cabinet will receive the Crown Prince and his high-powered delegation at Nur Khan Airbase. He said a formation of JF-17 Thunder fighter jets will escort the jet of the Crown Prince when it will enter the airspace of Pakistan. He said the Crown Prince will be given a twenty-one gun salute on his arrival.
