The National Assembly in today''''s meeting, will take up the issue of financial crisis of farmers in general and sufferings potato growers particularly as well as non-restoration of land trade routes to Afghanistan and absence of research for new markets as well as import of agricultural seeds from Europe.
The 7th session of the National Assembly has been summoned by the President of Pakistan with agenda of the day, apart from discussion on overall political and economic situation in the country and may consider the extenuation of military courts, take up questions and call attention notice.
As per ''''Order of the Day'''', the House will take up call attention notice moved to invite attention of the Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination to a matter of urgent public importance regarding report of the World Health Organization (WHO) on Pakistan''''s governance of public pharmaceutical sector not having standard operating procedures for inspecting activities.
Minister for National Health Services will move the Bill to repeal the West Pakistan Prohibition of Smoking in Cinema Houses Ordinance, 1960 to the extent of Islamabad Capital Territory as passed by the Senate.
Minister for Human Rights will also lay before the National Assembly the annual report of the National Commission on the Status of Women for the year, 2017 as required by section 16(2) of the National Commission on the Status of Women Act, 2012 while Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs will present the report on I-voting pilot test in 35 constituencies held on October, 14 2018, as required under section 94 of the Elections Act, 2017. The House will also hold discussion on the motion, moved by Ali Muhammad Khan, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs on December 7, 2018 on the address of the President to both Houses assembled together on September, 17 2018.
