No let up in incidents of robberies in Islamabad

The incidents of robbery increased in the federal capital during the last week, as 10 cases of various kinds of theft were reported to the city's various police stations wherein citizens lost valuables worth millions of rupees.
According to data gathered by Business Recorder here on Saturday, over four cases of auto theft and 10 cases of robbery and snatching were reported to different police stations of the city during the period under review.
The "favourite" areas for the criminal gangs were within the limits of Lohi Bher, Khanna and Sabzi Mandi police stations during the last week.
In the same period, Koral police station registered one case each of robbery and murder. One citizen Nauman Khan filed a complaint with Koral police station that four unknown armed persons snatched gold ornaments valuing Rs 700,000 from him.
Similarly, a victim Wali Khan informed Koral police station that accused Zia-ul-Haq had killed his step-brother Serka Khan.
During the aforementioned period, Lohi Bher police station registered one case each of auto theft and robbery. The auto thieves stole a bike, bearing registration number ATN-816, of one Usman Saleem valuing Rs 70,000. In another incident, one Amal Shah filed a complaint with Lohi Bher police station that accused Zeshan-ul-Haq is stealing electricity.
In the same period, Khanna police station registered one case each of motor vehicle theft and kidnapping. One Khalid Shah allegedly stole a bike (RIW-3220) of a citizen Zahid Shah valuing Rs 40,000. A victim Asad Khan filed a complaint with Khanna police station that an accused Arsalan Khan kidnapped his sister.
