The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended date for filing of revised returns (not statements) under section 214E of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 up to January 31, 2019. The FBR has issued a Corrigendum of Circular 10/2018 (Income Tax) here on Wednesday for extension in date for filing of revised returns under section 214E of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001. In partial modification to the Circular 10/2018 vide No.1(1)Cond/I.Tax/2018 dated 31.12.2018, the subject of the said circular may be read as "extension in date for filing of revised returns under section 214E of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001" instead of "extension in date for filing of revised statements for tax year 2018."
