LHC Chief Justice retires

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Anwarul Haq retired on Monday after serving the judiciary for eight years. Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Ahmad Khan will take oath as Chief Justice LHC on Tuesday (today).
Justice Anwarul Haq was elevated to the high court in March 2010. A full court reference was held on Monday to pay homage to the outgoing chief justice. Speaking at the reference, designated-Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim lauded the services of Justice Anwarul Haq as the chief justice of the LHC. Advocate General of Punjab Ahmad Awais, Prosecutor General of Punjab Eihtesham Qadir Shah, federal and provincial law officers also spoke at the reference.
