Parents of the minor children who died after consuming food from a restaurant in Karachi last year, told the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday that they have forgiven those responsible for the death of their sons.

During the hearing today, the parents appeared before the SHC and told the court that they do not wish to take any further action against the restaurant. The parents also informed the high court they have reached a settlement with the restaurant, local media reported. The court then ordered them to submit copies of the settlement between the two parties to court.

Last year in November, 18-month-old Ahmed and Muhammad, 5, died from food poisoning after they along with their parents dined at a restaurant located in Zamzama area. Afterwards, the kids also consumed candy from a shop outside Chunky Monkey. The kids after consuming the food started vomiting which led to their deaths. Their mother, Ayesha, was also hospitalized.

The restaurant was sealed for forensic investigation soon after police initiated a probe into the matter. Medical reports had confirmed that the brothers died due to food poisoning after consumption of substandard food. Due to the food, the children got food poisoning, which resulted in their death.
