Abbottabad, Islamabad record wins in PPL Blind Cricket Trophy

Abbottabad defeated Gujranwala by 85 runs in the ongoing Pakistan Petroleum Ltd Blind Cricket Trophy being played here at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium on Thursday. Gujranwala won the toss and decided to bowl first. Abbottabad openers, Matiullah and Kamran Akhtar toiled the Gujranwala bowling attack and piled up 282 runs for the first wicket partnership. Abbottabad posted massive total of 414 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in allotted 20 overs.
Kamran Akhtar smashed unbeaten 167 runs off 54 balls, he hit 11 sixes, while Matiullah took the charge earlier and got out after scoring 159 runs off 56 balls with 7 sixes. Gujranwala in reply made 329 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Karam Akhtar who made an unbeaten knock of 167 runs including 11 massive sixes was declared as Man of the Match.
In the other match Islamabad won the toss and put Attock into bat. Attock's Badar Munir remained unbeaten on 165 runs off 72 balls. He knocked out 7 sixes as Attock accumulated 262 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. In reply Islamabad reached the target for the loss of 2 wickets in 18th over. Ayub Khan was their top scorer with 132 runs with the help of 20 (4's) and 1 six. Ayub Khan was declared Man of the Match.
