ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal Wednesday said that anti-graft watchdog could not be impeded from going ahead by browbeating or threatening it as the bureau was determined to eradicate the menace of corruption by strictly remaining within the purview of law of the land.

Speaking at anti-graft watchdog’s Khyber Pakhtunkwa bureau, the NAB chairman said, an organized propaganda campaign has already been launched against NAB but the bureau believes in negating the organized campaign by merely showing performance.

He said NAB was pursuing zero tolerance policy against corrupt practices. This year 440 pending references were filed in various accountability courts, which were languishing in Almirahs and files.

He said the white collar mega corruption cases would be taken to the logical conclusion on priority basis.
