Govt is working efficiently under PM leadership: Governor Punjab

Talking to a private news channel, he said the PTI manifesto was to flush out corruption from the society.

Commenting on the investigation process being carried out against the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Chaudhry Sarwar said the corruption cases against the leaders of both the political parties  were started during the tenure of previous regime.

The Governor said the PTI government was taking steps to eliminate corruption from the country and zero tolerance policy on corruption was being adopted in all the national institutions.

The corruption was choking the development process of the country and it affects badly in education, health and other sectors, he said.

To a question, he said the PTI government after coming into power had taken steps for addressing the genuine issues of minorities.

To another question about postings, and transfers, Sarwar said it was the prerogative of the federal government to transfer and posted senior officers at different institutions keeping in view their abilities.

He further said the government was trying to place the right man on right job through transfer and postings.

It was the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said to depoliticize the all the national institutions so that the institutions could discharge their official duties in a befitting manner, he added.
