The registered male and female voters in the district used their right of vote to elect the Chairmen/Vice Chairmen and other representatives for various seats of Municipal Corporation, Union Committees, District Councils, Union Councils, Municipal Committees, Wards and Town Committees.

The polling continued for nine hours fixed period and no untoward incident reported at any polling station.

The teams of journalists, who visited different polling stations found rush of voters at the polling stations, which were busy in exercising their right of franchise in favour of their favourite candidates.

The District Returning Officer (DRO), concerned Returning Officers (ROs), Assistant Commissioner (AC), Abdul Rahim Qureshi SSP West Shoukat Ali Katain also visited various polling stations of the district and reviewed arrangements and polling process for first phase of the Local Bodies elections.
