As 2018 is nearing its end, social media sites are giving users a look at their year's activities. Snapchat has decided to do the same and has now started giving users their year round-up.

Social media site Snapchat has recently launched its ‘Year End Story’ feature where they show people their whole year in review, making them relive the memories.

The features works in a similar way as Facebook’s year round-up of the respective year. Snapchat told Fast Company, the feature is designed ‘to celebrate the variety of emotions, events, and content captured on Snap and save to the Memories feature throughout the year’.

In order to view their Snapchat Year End Story, user would simply have to go to the camera interface on the Snapchat app and tap the photos icon located below the shutter button. There they would be able to see a ‘My 2018 in Snaps’ collection at the top. After tapping that, user can edit the video, save to their Memories section or even post it to their Story for everyone to have a look too.

The Year End Story is further divided into different sections, but appears as one continuous story. For example, the user would be able to see sections of ‘tasty treats’, ‘cute overload’, ‘love fests’, ‘late nights’, ‘adventures’ and more, reported 9to5Mac.

The feature works best for people who have as many memories saved in the app. Snapchat said that if someone is unable to see a ‘My 2018 in Snaps’ roundup is probably because they didn’t save enough content to Memories. The feature has been rolled out for both iOS and Android users and will continue to roll out globally within few days.
