PTI first political party to create awareness among youth about their rights

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Media Iftikhar Durrani Tuesday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was the first progressive political party that had introduced the concept of political fund raising, beside creating political awareness among the youth about their rights.

Talking to a private news channel, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan was the first person who raised his voice against the corruption and created awareness among the youth about their fundamental rights which had been ignored due to corrupt system.

It was the first time that action was being taken against the powerful, he added.

Iftikhar said the expenses of Bani Gala was bearing by the Prime Minister Imran Khan of his own resources and added he had already given the details and money trail of his foreign flats to the court and added Imran Khan's everything in Pakistan.

He said the ongoing accountability was the part of PTI's manifesto and the government was committed to fulfill all the promises which it had made with the public during election campaign.

Replying to a question regarding anti-corruption institutions, he said the National Accountability Bureau(NAB) was a completely independent institution and was investigating the corruption cases with the help and support of other institutions including Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

He further said the government had nothing to do with NAB matters and added there was a need to further strengthen it.

Responding to another question, he said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders set the true political culture by rendering resignations voluntarily after coming their names in the cases.
