Hollywood movies we can’t wait to see in 2019

The year 2018 was a pretty solid year for the movies, but there is a whole lot more to look forward to in 2019 as plenty of upcoming Hollywood films are long-anticipated sequels, prequels and reboots.

2019 will be a delight for movie-lovers as the year will bring some fabulous remakes of classic animated movies along with the sequels of hit films. Here is a list of the most anticipated movies that are scheduled to hit the big screen in next year.

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Carol Danvers. Captain Marvel has been tagged as one of the most powerful superheroes in Marvel’s history. It will hit theatres on March 8, 2019.

Dumbo

Decades have passed since the release of animated movie Dumbo, but it still has everyone's hearts. The live-action remake of the old classic much anticipated and the trailer has already won hearts. It is an upcoming animated fantasy adventure film which will hit theatres on March 29.

Avengers: End Game

Avengers: End Game is one of the most anticipated movies of 2019, which will hit theatres on April 26. It will be the last part of the Avengers franchise, which started back in 2012.

Aladdin

The live-action adaptation of Disney's 1992 animated film of Aladdin, which is based on the Arabic folktale of the same name, has been making headlines ever since it was announced. The short teaser of the film has already gotten fans more excited, making them wanting to see more. Fans will get to see the movie in theatres on May 24.

Dark Phoenix

Dark Phoenix is Marvel’s superhero film which is also intended to be the twelfth installment in the X-Men film series and the sequel to X-Men: Apocalypse (2016). In Dark Phoenix, the X-Men must face the full power of the Phoenix, played by Sophie Turner, after a mission to space goes wrong. The movie will be released on June 7.

Annabelle 3

One of the most popular horror flick Annabelle will get its third sequel on July 3. Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren keep a possessed doll locked up in an artifacts room in their house. When the doll awakens the room's evil spirits, it soon becomes a night of terror for the couple's young daughter and her friends.

Spiderman: Far from Home

After the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Peter Parker [Spiderman] and his friends will go on summer vacation to Europe and there Peter finds himself trying to save his friends against a villain known as Mysterio. It will hit theatres on July 5.

The Lion King

Another super hit animated movie is getting a live-action remake in 2019.  The live-action animated film of popular kids classic Lion King will release on July 19. The story takes place in a kingdom of lions in Africa and was influenced by William Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Hobbs and Shaw

Hobbs and Shaw is one of the most anticipated movies of 2019, which will be the sequel of popular Fast and Furious franchise. It will be based on two main characters of the film, Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw in the lead roles. Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Vanessa Kirby and Idris Elba will play the lead roles in the movie. The film is scheduled to be released on August 2.

Charlie’s Angels

The film stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska, Banks, Patrick Stewart, and Djimon Hounsou. The movie is based on the television series of the same name and a reboot of the Charlie's Angels franchise. It will be released on November 1 by Sony Pictures.

Frozen 2

Disney's Frozen sequel is already underway. Disney has confirmed that the sequel will arrive on November 27, at least in US cinemas.
