NAB to purge country of corruption

MULTAN: Director General National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Multan Atiqur Rehman said on Wednesday the Bureau would continue to create awareness, and purge the country of corruption.

He said this during a prize distribution ceremony held at Multan Arts Council. The NAB Multan arranged a series of events including declamation contest to create awareness among people about hazards of corruption. The winners of the contests were given cash prizes and commendatory certificates.

The DG NAB Multan lauded the enthusiasm of students of universities, colleges, and schools against the menace of corruption. He said that NAB Multan arranged competitions at tehsil, district and division level.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture Dr Asif Ali, Vice Chancellor Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering Dr Aamir Imtiaz, Vice Chancellor NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology Malik Akhtar Ali Kalro, Vice Chancellor Women University Dr Qudsia Khakwani, Vice Chancellor Islamia University Dr Qaisar Mushtaq were also present.

Earlier, the NAB Multan organized a walk to sensitize the society against corruption. A good number of students and civil society workers joined the walk which commenced from Tea House and concluded at Multan Arts Council.
