NAB arrests Saad Rafique, brother in Paragon Housing Society case

Updated 11 Dec, 2018

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) detained on Tuesday former Railway Minister Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique in the Paragon Housing Society scam.

During the hearing at Lahore High Court (LHC), headed by Justice Tariq Abbasi, NAB prosecutor argued that the court should reject the plea submitted by the two brothers for extension in bail. The LHC rejected the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz leader's and his brother's bail plea after which the brothers were arrested by the NAB team, local media reported.

Earlier in the month, the high court had extended their bail in the case. Saad has also been accused of corruption in Ashiana Housing scheme.
