IMF to decide loan deal for Ukraine on Dec.18

09 Dec, 2018

Kiev and the IMF staff reached a preliminary agreement on a new $3.9 billion stand-by programme in October. The IMF said it would disburse the money after Ukraine meets its commitments on raising gas prices and passing a balanced 2019 budget.

The new 14-month IMF deal aims to help Ukraine maintain financial stability and the trust of investors as it heads into a choppy election period next year.
