ECP conducts free, fair & transparent elections in 2018

He was speaking at seminar held by Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) with the coordination of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on voter’s day being celebrated across the country. Addressing on the occasion, he said that significant improvements were observed in 2018, polls and in bye-elections.

Rashid said that ECP was playing vital role in highlighting the importance of vote and creating awareness among the masses.

He also lauded the Result Management System (RMS) for the by-polls.

He pointed out that there were some flaws in election procedure, claiming that in his constituency NA-60 fake votes were also cast and suggested for removing such voters from the list.

He admired the ECP for bringing reforms in electoral procedure that would produce good results and the rigging in polls allegation would be wiped out.

Speaking on the occasion, the Regional Election Commissioner, Nadeem Zubair said that it was the national obligation to cast the vote.

“It is your duty and obligation to get registered as a voter.

Change the future of the country through the ballot,” he added.

He informed that ECP electoral procedure of Pakistan far better than the other countries.

District Election Commissioner Naeem Ahmed, Transgender Almas Bobi, PTI Ifthikar Malik, SSDO Director Programmed Syed Kausar and others also spoke on the occasion.
