On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,990. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.084 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,774. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.017 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.461 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.257 billion, silver PKR 231.778 million, copper PKR 64.833 million, natural gas PKR 29.758 million, platinum PKR 11.096 million and Brent crude oil PKR 10.937 million.
