Two universities in Pakistan have made into the top 100 higher educational institutes Asia, as per the latest rankings.

According to Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings for 2019, the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) and Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) claimed their place in the top 100. NUST was placed 87th, whereas, LUMS grabbed the 95th place.

Some 23 Pakistani universities were placed among the top 500 universities in Asia. Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Punjab University and Aga Khan Univeristy were among the top institutes from Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the National University of Singapore was the number one university in the continent. The list was followed by the University of Hong Kong, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Tsinghua University, China, which claimed second and third spot, respectively.

The top 10 rankings were dominated by institutes from South East Asian countries, Singapore and China in particular.
