Digital property, professional tax survey can increase revenue

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that the digital property and professional tax survey can boost the revenue.

He said that the property survey in Sukkur city should be completed in stipulated time and maximum number of property units should be brought under tax bracket.

He stated this while presiding over a meeting on Exploring Alternative Survey Methodologies in Sukkur, Property and Professional Tax Survey and Provincial Digitization Model at his office, said a statement on Wednesday.

Secretary Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Aijaz Ahmed Mahessar, Director General Shabbir Ahmed Shaikh, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Director Sukkur Munir Zardari and others also attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that 72,105 property units had been marked and out of which 42,579 units had been surveyed, while 9,756 total professional units had been identified and out of which 4,248 had been scanned.
