PM Khan seeks coordinated efforts to curb street crimes in Karachi

KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan chairing a meeting on law and order situation in Karachi at State Guest House here Sunday registered his particular concern about reported surge in the incidence of street crimes in the metropolis.

Taking strong exception to the abduction cases of kids in the metropolis he also sought coordinated action against the criminals and provision for urgent recovery of the children and relief to the concerned parents.

Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail, Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Corps Commander, Karachi, Lieutenant General, Shahid Baig Mirza, Director General, Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Major General, Mohammad Saeed, Chief Secretary of Sindh, Azam Suleiman Khan, Inspector General of Police (Sindh), Kaleem Imam and other concerned civil officials were also present on the occasion.

Sindh Chief Secretary gave a detailed briefing regarding law and order situation in the province in general and Karachi in particular followed by presentations by DG, Rangers- Sindh on Karachi operation.

The Prime Minister appreciated measures being taken for cleanliness in the metropolis.

He directed measures to expedite the efforts being made to provide needed relief to the masses.

Earlier, accompanied by Sindh Governor and CM of the province the PM planted a sapling on the premises of the State Guest House and consequently also held a joint meeting with the two.
