Sindh governor to donate 1 year salary to dam fund

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Sunday announced that he would be donating one year of his salary to the dams fund set up by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

On Twitter the governor wrote, "I would like to donate my 1 year salary as Governor Sindh to the Diamer-Bhasha Dam. Pakistan zindabad".

On Saturday, the Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar had announced that he along with all provincial ministers will be donating one month salary to the dam fund.

After PM Khan's appeal to the nation and the overseas Pakistani's to donate money to the fund set up for  the construction of Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams, many people have come forward announcing their intent to donate.

Malik Riaz Hussain of Bahria Town announced to donate Rs 50 million for the dam. President and CEO ARY Digital Network, Salman Iqbal also announced that he will be donating one hundred thousand US Dollars for the dam fund.

Singer Ali Zafar has donated Rs2.5 million to the dam fund. Pakistan Umpire Aleem Dar also announced that he will donate $10,000 for the dams project. Cricketer Shoaib Akhtar too has donated and requested Pakistanis to play their part and donate.
