The moderate trade activity was seen on the wholesale grain market on Thursday as some buying interest emerged among the participants, dealers said. On the cereals side, wheat new Bardan inched up by Rs 10 to Rs 3100, other commodities held the overnight levels, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-9 Sindh lost Rs 100 to Rs 3400 and Rs 3500, Irri-6 Sindh low type gained Rs 30 to Rs 2990 and the best quality was up by Rs 20 to Rs 3050, Basmati/D-98-Shahdadkot was lower by Rs 400 to Rs 3800-4000 and Basmati No.386. Red old followed the same pattern, losing Rs 200 to Rs 4000 and Rs 4200, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type was up by Rs 75 to Rs 2075, the best quality, however, dropped by Rs 50 to Rs 2100, castor seeds Lasbela lost Rs 300 to Rs 2000, castor seeds Sindh also shed Rs 200 to Rs 2000, they said. Prices were unchanged on the grams sector, they said.
