Prices of grams, cereals down on grain market

A falling trend prevailed on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday in the process of moderate trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Urad Burma lost Rs 300 to Rs 6500, Barley Sindh and Mardan also shed Rs 50 to Rs 3000, Guwar Sindh followed same pattern, shedding Rs 200 to Rs 3400 and Rs 3500, and Guwar Punjab was also down by Rs 100 to Rs 3300 and Rs 3400, Gur dropped by Rs 100 to Rs 5700 and Rs 6200 and Khandsari also lost Rs 500 to Rs 7000, they said.
On the grams side, Grams Australia No 1 was down by Rs 300 to Rs 8300, Grams Dall Australia also lost the same amount to Rs 9000, Grams 50x50 fell sharply by Rs 620 to Rs 8625, Grams Dall 50x50 lost Rs 700 to Rs 9200, yellow peas Russia fell by Rs 100 to Rs 4250 and yellow peas Dall Russia also shed same amount to Rs 4700, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type was higher at Rs 2050 while the best quality was unchanged at Rs 2100, they said. Prices were unchanged on the rice sector, they said.
