Parks locked in Lahore after tragic suicide attack

The district government locked all the leading parks in the city on Monday after a tragic suicide attack at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park on Sunday, leaving 72 dead and over 300 injured. The district government officials said the parks were closed for public entry to secure the life of citizens. Jilani Park, Jallo Park and Model Town Park are amongst the parks locked by the district government.
Meanwhile, the Al-hamra Arts Centre also suspended entertainment activities for the next three days. In addition, all leading private sector theaters also announced closure of activities for the Monday evening. Also, the city traders observed a completer shutter down to mourn over the death of 72 people, including women and children. However, the banks and corporate sector entities remained operational as usual amidst a very tight security.
