Putin sends condolences

29 Mar, 2016

Vladimir Putin has sent his condolences to President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif following the tragedy in Lahore, where dozens of innocent people were killed, most of them women and children. Putin stressed that that act of evil was yet more evidence of terrorism's barbaric and inhuman nature, which stopped at nothing in pursuit of its criminal aims.
"Russia supports the Pakistani authorities' efforts to combat terrorism and seeks greater international cooperation in anti-terrorism work, whether at the regional or the global level," Putin noted. The President expressed confidence that the terrorist attack's perpetrators and organisers will receive their just punishment. He conveyed his condolences to the victims' families and wished a swift recovery to all who were injured.-PR
