Rising trend persists on grain market

An upward trend prevailed on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday in the process of modest trading, dealers and experts said. On the cereals side, Masoor Canada low type was higher by Rs 400 to Rs 9800, best quality was up by Rs 100 to Rs 9900, Masoor Dall Canada quoted higher at Rs 11400, Urad Burma, however, lost Rs 1100 to Rs 6000, other commodities held the overnight levels, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type was inert at Rs 2960 and the best quality picked up Rs 10 to Rs 3010, other items held the overnight levels, they added. On the seeds side, cakes low variety was up by Rs 10 to Rs 1140 and the good type was higher by Rs 25 to Rs 1150, cottonseeds oilcake with bag low type was inert at Rs 2050 and fine quality was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 2100, they said. Prices were unmoved on the grams side, dealers said.
