Memorandum of understandings (MoUs) worth more than $50 million have been signed between Pakistan and Chinese companies during the third day of the fifth Pakistan-China Business Forum arranged by the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology in Lahore. An institute spokesperson claimed on Monday that more than 5,000 business meetings had taken place on the third day of the forum.
He also claimed that more than 50,000 people visited the exhibition on the third day. "The interesting part of the exhibition is a face recognition system, Robot, displayed by the Next Bridge (Software Developers). This Robot can perform various households as well as the industrial tasks that include tee-shirt folding, playing chess, helping hand in industries," he said.

Colours of Pakistan were staged by performances and networking of Chinese and Pakistanis. On the same day, two workshops were carried out in the conference rooms of Hall 1 and Hall 2. One of the conferences was on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor: Opportunities for the ICT industry in China and Pakistan. The session was introduced by Professor Doctor Asad Hussain, dean faculty of the Information Sciences and Technology, CIIT Lahore.
The main parameter of the whole discussion was to discuss various aspects that could lead both the countries towards the increasing rate of export-import. The guests included Jay (Chinese name Liushengjie), CTO HUAWEI Pakistantalked about various technical work performed by the HUAWEI where the mutual business lead towards a good technical balancing. The other conference held in the conference room of Hall 2 was about "the Sino-Pak economic and trade issues". Dr Qaisar Abbass, the Institute Director, addressed and welcomed the guests.
Professor Changyuan Luo said, "This conference catered awareness of the projects that has been working to broaden the Pak-China business." The graphical views about the trade between China, India and Pakistan were discussed. Dr Atif Saeed Chaudhary, Assistant Professor, LUMS talked about the successful ways of trading and business, especially when it was about the neighbour countries like India.
