A notorious criminal who was allegedly involved in high profile kidnappings among other crimes was shot dead in a police encounter in Tando Allahyar district. According to a press statement issued here Friday by the DIG Hyderabad's Office, the slain suspect Iqbal Brohi was booked in 20 FIRs registered in 10 police stations of four districts.
The statement informed that the Tando Allahyar police received a tip-off about presence of Brohi in a village in the limits of Pyaro Loond police station. When the police reached the place, the suspects opened fire on the police and in the exchange of fire, Brohi sustained gunshots and died. "Brohi was involved in various heinous crimes including the kidnapping of nephew of Inspector Genera Police of Azad Kashmir, Bashir Ahmed Memon," the DIG Khadim Hussain Rind's statement said.
