KP IGP suspends two officers

KP Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani has suspended two police officers on faulty and defective investigation in a murder case with immediate effect and ordered departmental inquiry against them. According to detail, the IGP has received several public complaints against the irresponsible and poor investigation in a murder case by investigation officer Inspector Abdur Rasheed and Sub-Inspector Mukhtiar Khan of Police Station Chamkani due to which accused was acquitted from the court.
The IGP checked these public complaints through senior officers of Peshawar police who authenticated the public complaints in their submitted report. The IGP in the light of the report of the senior police officers has suspended Inspector Abdur Rasheed and Sub-Inspector Mukhtiar Khan with immediate effect and directed CCPO Peshawar to hold departmental inquiry against them and submit report to him for further action.
