Serbian sells euros to bolster dinar

The Serbian central bank sold euros on the local interbank market on Monday to support the dinar and add liquidity to the market, dealers said. The bank started selling euros as the dinar traded at around 123.6 to the euro, or 0.13 percent less than the previous close. After the intervention the dinar traded around 123.37. So far this year the bank sold more than 400 million euros ($438.00 million) to bolster the dinar which has lost 1.7 percent this year.
