Peshawar White take U-20 hockey title

Peshawar White defeated Punjab White in the final match of the league round by securing first position with 12 points after winning all matches in the National Junior Under-20 Boys Hockey Championship played here at Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium on Monday.
Peshawar White secured victories against Punjab White, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, and FATA, Punjab remained at second with 9 points by winning matches against Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA, Islamabad with two win against Gilgit Baltistan and FATA and two lost against KP White and Punjab White took 6 points, got third position. Vice President Pakistan Hockey Federation Muhammad Saeed Khan was the chief guest on this occasion who gave away winner trophy to the winners and runners-up. He also gave Rs 10,000 as cash prize to the winner and Rs 5,000 to the runners-up team on behalf of KPK Hockey Association. KP White and Red teams will be leaving for Lahore on March 2, 2016 to participate in the forthcoming National Junior Hockey Championship to be played in Lahore.
