'Motorway Police uphold high standards of professionalism'

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad said that Motorway police are serving the nation for the past 18 years and uphold its high standards of professionalism. He said that Motorway police is an exemplary institution with excellent performance. "I commend the leadership and all officers of the department for their continuing efforts to serving the nation in an excellent way", he added.
He said National Highways and Motorway Police are performing a commendable job in reducing risks to road users and this is well demonstrated by the fact that its jurisdiction continues to expand day-by-day. The minister said that establishment of standardised driving training school at district level in the country by NH&MP is a right step towards meeting the future challenges of CPEC. This would also facilitate in reducing the accidents on highways & motorways. He was addressing the briefing session organised by the NH&MP at Police Lines Headquarters Islamabad. He said the enchantment in the salaries of NH&MP employees is the need of the hour, as for the so many years NH&MP is being neglected and now other police institutions are getting high salaries than it. The minister said that the shortage of manpower and patrolling vehicles would be provided as the earliest.
The Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police said that during the past 18 years, NH&MP has attained the status of the premier and lead traffic regulation and enforcement agency in Pakistan. By sticking to its core values of honesty, courtesy and help, NH&MP has won hearts of the public. People look towards us as matter of pride which is a great satisfaction for us.-PR
