The proceedings of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly were Friday adjourned due to the lack of quorum in the house. The provincial assembly resumed proceedings with the Deputy Speaker, Dr Meher Taj Roghani in the chair after an interval of sixteen days. However, soon after recitation from Holy Quran, Noor Saleem Khan, a JUI-F legislator pinpointed the lack of quorum and the Deputy Speaker who was presiding over the proceedings for first time since her election to the office last month.
The pinpointing of the quorum prompted the Deputy Speaker to the ringing of the bills and on the completion of the period, she directed the counting and after founding the house in disorder she announced the adjournment of the house proceedings till Monday (January 11, 2015).
