Prices move both ways on grain market

Masoor prices fell sharply and Til rates soared on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in the process of trading, dealer said. On the cereals sector, Masoor Canada lost Rs 200 to Rs 9800 and Rs 10000, Masoor Dall Canada followed same pattern, losing Rs 100 to Rs 11500-11600, Makai low variety was up Rs 25 to Rs 2625 and best quality shed the same amount to Rs 2675, they added.
On the rice side, Irri white broken low type was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 2600 and good quality was up by Rs 100 to Rs 2700, they said. On the seeds front til regular low type rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3650 and the good variety was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 3900, Til Small gained Rs 100 to Rs 3800, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh picked up Rs 50 to Rs 2150 and Rs 2200, they said. Prices were unmoved on the grams side, dealers said.
