US Midwest corn, soyabean bids mostly flat

Spot basis bids for corn and soyabeans were mostly flat at elevators and processors around the US Midwest on Thursday, grain dealers said. Dealers said farmer selling was limited, but if the market rallied or prices surged to $9 a bushel, farmers may start selling. Farmers are holding on to at least 40 percent of their wheat harvest, dealers said. Although farmer selling and bad weather slowed production, supplies were ample.
