On Friday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 8,156 million as compared to PKR 4,833 million reported on Thursday. The number of lots traded was 52.06 million. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,569. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 8,056 million. This was followed by silver (PKR 95.81 million), cotton (PKR 2.28 million) and red chilli (PKR 1.88 million).
