Siraj slams government for new taxes under pressure IMF

JI Ameer Sirajul Haq while speaking at news conference on Saturday has criticised the government's decision to impose new taxes of Rs 40 billion to get loans from IMF. "JI will not accept any such decision and would raise issue in National Assembly and Senate," he mentioned
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan will have to take around Rs 40 billion in additional tax measures in the next two weeks. On the occasion, Quami Watan Party's tehsil president along with workers from district Charsadda has announced to join JI. JI chief criticised the federal and provincial governments for not completing the damage assessment in the quake affected areas so far. He said JI had announced Rs 200 million for earthquake affected people, out of which Rs 120 million had been spent so far.
He said Al-Khidmat Foundation had carried out rescue and relief operations around the clock, and expressed special gratitude to Aid organisations for extending assistance to earthquake hit people, due to which relief and rehabilitation activities continued.
Earlier, QWP leader announced to join JI along with 150 other members.
