On Friday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 7,923 million. The number of lots traded was 54.18 million. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,579. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 7,831 million, a 67 percent increase when compared to the previous trading day. This was followed by silver (PKR 89.82 million), crude oil (PKR 1.08 million) and cotton (PKR 2 million).
