Roman Reigns has finally defeated Brock Lesnar in a match that received heavy booing at WWE SummerSlam.

Reigns and Lesnar have had a string of matches receiving lukewarm receptions – including a notorious bout headlining WrestleMania 34.

WWE’s ‘Big Dog’ defeated former UFC Champ with a quick series of spears after a brief interruption by Mr Money in the Bank, The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman.

Strowman had pledged to cash in his contract to challenge the winner of the bout for the Universal Championship.

Lesnar however attacked Strowman midway through the match to ensure he would not have to take-him on afterwards.

It was this error which left him open to a fourth spear from Reigns, finally ending his title reign which began when he defeated Goldberg at WrestleMania 33.

Lesnar is now expected to return to UFC and leave WWE for the near future.

The MMA fighter previously left the company in 2004, being away for eight years before returning in 2012.

Since returning he has been on a dominant run, even ending the Undertaker’s winning streak of 21 straight victories at WrestleMania.
