'Pakistan can enhance leather exports to Vietnam'

Head of Vietnam Trade Mission in Karachi, Vu Viet Dzung has said that Vietnam footwear industry is growing and the export of footwear alone from Vietnam is around 9 billion dollars and Pakistan can have a big share. Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) led by its chairman, Gulzar Firoz, he said that Pakistan present export of leather to Vietnam was around 25 million dollars, which is hardly 1 percent of the total leather export of Vietnam.
He assured that visa will not be an issue if genuine Pakistani exporters of leather want to visit Vietnam. Gulzar Firoz proposed to take a delegation of PTA to Vietnam in near future and requested Vu Viet Dzung for his support in organizing the delegation's visit to Vietnam.
Firoz informed Vu Viet Dzung about holding of Pakistan mega leather show 2016, which is going to be held on 27-28 January 2016 and invite Vietnamese shoe and leather industry to participate in this mega show. Vu Viet Dzung promised that he will inform the leather trade bodies and will encourage them to visit Lahore to attend this show.
