On Wednesday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 4,225 million. The number of lots traded was 21.44 million. PMEX Commodity Index increased by 0.49 percent and closed at 2,585. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3,178 million. This was followed by crude oil (PKR 977.42 million), silver (PKR 62.46 million), cotton (PKR 4.558 million) and red chilli (PKR 2.7 million).
